Belid Lighting Group is a Nordic lighting company with in-house production in Varberg, Sweden. We design and manufacture lighting with a strong focus on quality, design and long-term sustainability. Since 1969, we have combined Scandinavian design with technical expertise and genuine craftsmanship – serving customers across the Nordic region and internationally.

By combining our Nordic design heritage with solid expertise and precise craftsmanship, we have been manufacturing high-quality lighting in Varberg for more than five decades. Quality and design have always been our guiding principles – just as essential today as when the company was founded. Over the years, we have refined our methods and built strong capabilities in development and production. This experience forms the foundation of our ambition to create luminaires with long lifespan, high quality and a timeless expression. Preserving and further developing the knowledge within our organisation is essential to us. From a sketch to finished product
With a fully integrated production process and direct access to our own factory and warehouse in Varberg, we create Scandinavian-designed lighting with high quality and long-lasting performance. This structure enables us to deliver project adaptations quickly and with a high degree of precision.
The Formation of Belid Lighting Group
In 2008, the business was expanded with the Danish brand Herstal, broadening our portfolio with renowned Danish lighting design. Through organic growth and strategic collaborations with leading industry partners, a wider group structure took shape, and in the summer of 2020 the organisation was unified under the name Belid Lighting Group. Today, the Group employs approximately 125 people and has been majority-owned by Accent Equity Partners since 2018

All development and production take place in our factory in Varberg, where modern technology meets traditional metal craftsmanship. With a fully integrated production process – from design and engineering to assembly and distribution – we ensure high quality, short lead times and reliable delivery. Our production is certified according to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, confirming our commitment to quality, environmental responsibility and a safe working environment.

Our Offering
Belid Lighting Group operates within two business areas: Decorative Lighting and Private Label. Together with our own brands – Belid and Herstal – and through bespoke project solutions via Belid Custom Lighting (BCL), we provide lighting for residential spaces, public environments, retail, hospitality and customised customer concepts.
Our ambition is to create lighting that enhances the spatial experience and endures over time – in both function and expression.
