BELID LIGHTING GROUP- Supporting Ågrenska in the Transitioning to Sustainable Lighting
Since last year, mercury-containing light sources have been banned in the EU, leading to a transition towards more efficient and energy-saving alternatives across the country. As part of this transition, we have initiated a charity project in collaboration with Ågrenska, a national competence center for individuals with special health conditions and disabilities. The project aims to support Ågrenska in replacing or renewing nearly 1,000 fixtures with more sustainable alternatives.

ReLight is our solution for repurposing traditional fixtures with new LED technology. An efficient way to reuse, repair, and upgrade existing fixtures with smart control systems and modern LED technology. In light of new EU regulations on lighting and the phasing out of conventional light sources, the journey towards sustainable illumination has never been more crucial. We are able to do this due to our extensive product knowledge and experience and we carry this out with a dedication to our customers’ needs and with consideration for the environment. We are involved in the whole process from design and construction through to production and distribution, making us a reliable supplier and partner for our customers.
Our business areas
We manufacture lighting for the home, projects and industry in our factory in Tångaberg, Sweden. The business is organised into three areas: Home, Professional and OEM. These three areas all have their own dedicated teams of lighting experts with extensive product knowledge and experience in all aspects of lighting. All three areas are supported by a range of departments working together. These departments include product development, purchasing, production, assembly and logistics to name a few. We are therefore a strong contender in the field of lighting with over 50 years of experience to depend upon.

From our long tradition of in-house manufacturing under the brand name of Belid, to the more playful design from Herstal, we are pleased to be able to offer two brands that we are proud to work with and develop for the future.
