Hotel Draken, Gothenburg's new landmark spanning 34 floors, has opened its doors, welcoming visitors to an exclusive hotel experience. Guests are greeted with a breathtaking view of Gothenburg, culinary delights, and a meeting scene, all in a meticulously designed environment. Our contribution has been to create the perfect lighting for both the common areas and the 474 hotel rooms.
After several years of development, we have signed our largest framework agreement to date. Following a joint innovation project with the municipalities of Copenhagen and Aarhus, the parties have now signed the agreement, and product deliveries will commence in the fall.
With great pleasure, together with our main owner Accent Equity, we are awarding the "Together Scholarship" of 10,000 SEK to Varberg Parasport. The award ceremony took place at Belid Lighting Group’s headquarters where our CEO Peter Tafazoli awarded the scholarship to Roger Alstersjö, an engaged leader at Parasport.

The atmosphere draws inspiration from the historically preserved Drakencinema, where every detail leaves its mark on the cinematic style. It's an experience that gives the feeling of being on a grand stage.
"The entire Draken is built on the idea of creating a lively scene where people can meet and experience. Belid has truly contributed with its knowledge and craftsmanship from the factory in Varberg, which has been invaluable for the project," says Andreas Lyckefors at Olsson Lyckefors Arkitektur.
Our products are not only placed in hotel rooms but also the shared spaces. In the Vågen dining room, we 'crafted various versions of the timeless globe lamp, combining opal glass and brass beautifully. Each of the 474 hotel rooms has a personal touch with our classic Tyson lamp, specially designed for Hotel Draken in an entirely new shade.
Genuine brass is the consistent material in the lighting for the shared spaces. On the 33rd floor, you'll find Brasserie Draken, adorned with sleekindustrialbrasslampsthatenhance the warm interior and atmosphere elegantly.
Anders Lundin, our project lighting manager, expresses gratitude for being part of this project, saying: "Wearehumblyproud to have contributed to the lighting of both the common areas and the unique hotel rooms. Our factory in Varberg has enabled solid craftsmanship, tailored for this special hotel."
In conclusion, we extend a big thank you to everyone involved and to our customers who make it possible for us to continue creating lighting solutions for places like Hotel Draken.
